Jim is very professional, trustworthy and honest. He's an asset to American Standard. The staff that came by to install the furnace and air conditioner was very thorough, efficient, and installed everything in a timely manner. They arrived at my house on time, and they an honest day's work. I couldn't ask for a better company to have done my furnace and air conditioner.

The lady of the house has a chemical intolerance, and Jim and his staff accomodated my medical problem. Avalanche is 1 in a million and I would highly recommend them. When the prior owner of our home built an extension to our house the bathroom fan vent was covered up by the new roof. 

Avalanche Heating & Cooling came for an inspection to determine the best course of action to restore the roof vent. They provided an estimate in 7 work days and were on site to perform the work 1 work day after our approval. The work was completed professionally, they left everything spotless and the fan works great now.

Avalanche inspected my new HVAC system due to the lack of cooling. They discovered that the system was freezing due to low refrigerant levels from the original installation.  

The system was installed by another HVAC company and is only two years old.  They also discovered that the system's condensation drain line was improperly installed which was backing up into the crawl space.

Left unchecked this could have caused thousands of Dollars in damage and repairs.  I'm convinced that a normal HVAC company would not have been as thorough as Avalanche and would not have taken the time to inspect the entire system including crawl space condensation drain lines.  I was very impressed with their level of knowledge and thoroughness in the repair.  The techinician was early for the appointment and was very professional.  I would highly recommend them for HVAC repair or service.

I called Avalanche heating to get a quote on installing a heating/cooling system. They provided me with a very competitive quote and they installed the unit.  When I called to confirm the quote and set up an installation date, they gave me a time and date that was convenient.  

The day before they called again to confirm and their techs arrived as scheduled.  The techs were extremely through and did an outstanding installation.  Their work was done professionally and they cleaned up after they were done.  I am extremely pleased with Avalanche Heating and will us them again.

Avalanche Heating & Cooling did some plumbing for us. They also put our heating system and air-conditioning. They were excellent.

The last time they were out they didn't charge us because my husband couldn't figure out how to turn the water heater back on and he just came out and get it free. They know their business. They came up with a good solution for us because we only had a tiny little place where they put the heater in.

The old heater was down in the basement and it was put in the basement before the house was built. So, no heater couldn't be taken down. So, they came up with putting a gas pump up on the roof which doesn't look any different than a swamp cooler. He had put in new vents in our heating and air-conditioning. They were on time, they worked their assess off. They charged at a reasonable price. They were pleasant and they know what they were doing.

Avalanche Heating & Cooling did problem solving, estimate, ordering the parts and scheduling them to come back out and do the job. 

The different guys that came out were very knowledgeable. I've heard that they're very reputable. It still has a home smart program.

 We had a new evaporative cooler installed by Avalanche and new duct work installed in the attic.

We found the Avalanche people very professional and knowledgeable.  We got three bids from local contractors before doing the work.  The Avalanche bind was the most competitive.  Matt, the heating and cooling specialist, who came to our home, explained the various cooling options available to us, inspected our home, and made his recommendation.  He was professional and answered all our questions with great patience. If you are considering any heating, cooling or plumbing work we recommend Avalanche highly.

The whole experience with the Avalanche folks was great.  They arrived when the said the would.  Did the work very efficiently and cleaned up any mess.

We have a rental condominium where the tenant reported having no heat and no hot water. We called Avalance on a Saturday and they arrived at the condo 2 hours after we called. The technician called me after they assessed the situation and said the heat issue was just a breaker switch.

As for the water heater, it wasn't working and we could replace a part on the heater (a part that had failed a year earlier) or get a whole new heater. I had them get me a quote for a new water heater, which they got in 15 minutes. It was very reasonable so I had them put in a new one which they completed that afternoon.

So to sum up: very fast service on a Saturday at a fair and reasonable cost. They are the best HVAC company I have dealt with in Grand Junction, by far.
